Club History
The club was organized in 1973 by Harrison Plum and Peter White. Originally founded as the Bay County Economics Club,
the name was changed in 1986 to include the tri-counties of Midland, Bay and Saginaw. The club is non-profit and non-partisan.
TCEC Membership Levels
- Corporate: $250 - This membership entitles a company to send an unlimited number of employees to luncheon meetings and other programs at the member rate. Up to ten persons can be added to the TCEC mailing list to receive notices and other announcements.
- Professional: $75 - This membership entitles an employed individual to attend luncheon meetings and other programs at the member rate.
- Retiree: $25 - This membership entitles a retired individual to attend luncheon meetings and other programs at the member rate.
- Student: $10 - This membership entitles a full-time college student to attend luncheon meetings and other programs at the member rate.

Our current logo was adopted in 1994. The triangle represents
Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties, while the four circles represent the four
factors of economic growth - labor, capital, raw materials and ideas.

Administrative Support
The Office of Continuing Ed & Professional Development(OCEPD) at SVSU provides administrative support to the TCEC.
This includes membership and board meeting coordination; registration logistics; meeting room and
food arrangements; newsletter editing and printing; financial record keeping; membership billings; board minutes;
membership directory coordination and printing; and other miscellaneous services as requested.
